Overview
Simulation Lab Coordinator
This position pays $105k annually
The Simulation Lab Coordinator supports the nursing department by managing the nursing skills lab and leading the planning and delivery of the simulation curriculum. This role includes overseeing lab operations, training faculty, instructing students, and assessing re-entry candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and repairs for all skills lab supplies and equipment
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Education on lab equipment planning and acquisition
  • Design, prepare, and implement all simulation experiences aligned with curriculum objectives
  • Train faculty to effectively deliver and facilitate simulation scenarios
  • Provide student tutoring, skills remediation, and practice sessions
  • Serve as Chair of the campus Simulation Committee and contribute to system-wide simulation initiatives
  • Support teaching needs, including lesson planning, instruction, and student evaluation
  • Maintain accurate records of student grades, attendance, and professional conduct
  • Communicate expectations and follow up on make-up work and simulation requirements
  • Stay current on best practices in simulation and nursing education.
  • Create a supportive, professional learning environment focused on student success
  • Participate in orientations, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities
  • Support graduation preparation and attend ceremonies
  • Collaborate with financial aid and other departments as needed
  • Refer students for academic advising or attendance issues to the Director or Academic Dean
  • Remain present for all assigned class and lab hours
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications
  • Active and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of CA

Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (RN) and three (3) years of clinical experience (required)
  • Active and unencumbered RN licensure in the state of CA
  • Minimum one (1) year of teaching experience (preferred)

  • Build rapport with students, clinical partners, and colleagues, fostering a positive learning environment

Work Environment
  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.

Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.
