Position Summary:


The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in the Emergency Department for the purpose of ensuring the competent delivery of quality patient care. He/she implements, educates and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, standards and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. The Assistant Nurse Manager's primary role is to take charge of nursing personnel, however, they may take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictate, in order to deliver high quality patient care.

EDUCATION:
Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for RegisteredNurse licensure.
Preferred: BSN
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two years as a staff nurse, previous charge nurse experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI
- CEN preferred, but not required
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic Computer Skills
- ENPC strongly encouraged
