Job description

Successful candidate will provide technical and clerical support for the Quality Assurance (QA) department performing a wide variety of duties involving compiling and arranging data, running reports, and processing Quality Assurance and Engineering documents and all generated Quality Records. Individual will assist engineers and other employees with research, composition, editing and producing documents and reports. Individual will be responsible for the receipt and distribution of incoming Analytical Software Error Notifications received by ZNE. Conducts pre-planning activities and prepares materials needed by the Quality Assurance staff for company documents, meetings and other similar activities. Individual will be responsible to maintain records, files, and distribution of Quality Assurance department deliverables as Quality Program Documents (Manuals, Procedures forms and lists). Individual shall support the initial QA review of incoming customer contracts. Individual shall support required updates in the ZNE Training Database (Access). Individual will assist in QA self-assessments, internal audits, Supplier audits and provide assistance with individual supplier/client company audits of ZNE as well as full Quality Program NUPIC audits. Individual shall maintain the company calculation and engineering evaluation logs and other logs as applicable. Individual may assist in training/orientation of new Quality Assurance employees. Individual may assist the Sr. Quality Assurance employees in distributing and delegating work assignments in a timely manner and review work of others as authorized in the absence of the Sr. Quality Assurance employees. Individual must have an overall knowledge of the inner workings of all facets of the Quality Program to be able to provide assistance/guidance as appropriate in the absence of the Sr Quality Assurance employees

Education Required (minimum): High School diploma is required. Associate degree from a recognized college or technical institute with major study in business administration, business management, communications (or a related field) or Engineering is required.

Experience Required (minimum): Ten (10) years experience in a business and/or engineering office environment is required. Five (5) years experience in an engineering support function with an emphasis on Quality Assurance Program support is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required with competency in software applications for databases (Access) and the ability to become familiar with new company specific programs and software. Excellent "attention to details" skill is required. 

Other Qualifications Required (minimum):  Individual is required to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations with strong, excellent verbal and written communication skills, administrative and organization skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Effective time management skills are required with the ability to work independently to complete projects accurately and on time. Successful candidate is required to have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work to accomplish goals. Candidate is required to pass and maintain security and drug screening. Successful candidate will be required to understand and comply with company policies, procedures and processes. Overtime work is required. Knowledge of operation of fax, reproduction style copy machines and/or reprographics equipment is required. Individual must be able to operate a personal computer and have company network skills to input, edit and produce documents within established quality and time guidelines.

Preferred Experience:  Experience working in a government regulated industry. Five (5) year's experience working under a documented approved QA Program that meets the requirements of 10CFR Appendix B or ISO 9001. Experience with document control systems such as Aconex, Please Review, Bluebeam, and/or Salesforce is a plus.

  • Complete Quality Review of client received purchase orders
  • Complete Quality Review of ZNE generated Project Information Sheet (PIS)
  • Complete Quality Review of ZNE generated proposals
  • Maintenance of the Approved Suppliers List (ASL)
  • Maintenance of the Audit Schedule
  • Development of Certificates of Conformances (C of Cs)
  • Development and distribution the incoming SW Error Notifications memos being sent to the appropriate Software (SW) Custodian
  • Support the SW Custodian impact assessment by running calculations and engineering evaluations (Calc/EE) database queries
  • Compile the completed SW Error Notification package of review
  • Assist in development of QA Project Plans
  • Conduct QA review of all deliverables (Calcs, EEs, Specifications (Specs), etc.)
  • Maintenance (as needed) of the Calc, EE, Spec Logs including providing requested queries for Condition Report (CR) and general information
  • Run the Non-finalized      Design Input query
