Summary:

ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) ensures the quality aspect of activities affecting engineering, procurement, dedication/qualification, and manufacturing processes for items and services provided to nuclear facilities strictly comply with the ASME NQA-1 standard. The individual will monitor with attention to detail the documentation which supports these activities on a consistent basis. Additionally, supports audits that meet NRC and DOE regulations.

Responsibilities:

•Program Implementation, Develop, implement, and maintain an NQA-1 compliant Quality Assurance Program.

•Document Review, Review project deliverables, procurement requisitions, and quality verification documents to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

•Audits & Assessments, Coordinate and conduct internal and external vendor audits, as an NQA-1 auditor.

•Nonconformance Management, Identify, evaluate, and track nonconforming items or processes and develop/maintain corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.

•Regulatory Compliance, Ensure alignment with related nuclear quality frameworks such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or an associate’s degree in an Engineering with 5+ years of NQA-1 related experience.

• 5+ years of experience in NQA-1 Quality Assurance. Lead Auditor certification will be required in the future if not currently certified.

•Working knowledge of NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21 requirements, and industry related standards such as EPRI and IEEE.
