Job description

As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will lead all the procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems with a focus on ensuring components are delivered on schedule, on budget, and meeting all applicable quality requirements. You will be a contributor responsible for large-scale Procurement Projects, working with teams and standard build, and report project implementation plans and lead all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution.

You will partner with Global Supply Chain Solutions (GSCS) teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements, monitor active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues. investigate project changes. Contribute to development a sourcing plan to minimize risks, produce savings, and ensure predictive delivery through projects execution.

You will report to the Nuclear Island Delivery Manager and be located in Cranberry Township, PA. This role will require travel up to 20%. This role is hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:

Approve Safety Related requisitions.

Support development of procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams. Identify and capture the demand, identify potential suppliers, and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.

Support Commercial Teams with execution of sourcing strategies to achieve our goals while driving continuous improvement:

Coordinate the RFx Process and establishing sourcing strategies for suppliers and services.

Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for complex and specialized materials, equipment and components.

Evaluate all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies to maximize supplier base cost/value.

Understand all the main operational & commercial elements of suppliers such as: Financial Stability and Goals, Global/Regional Presence, Available Capacity, Top customers, and Top competitors and keep the Supply Chain Organization and team members informed of supplier capacity/performance and market constraints for future plans and actions

Manage supply and supplier commitments after purchase order or contract is made, including change and contract management. Understanding and analyzation of the entitlement and cost basis, supporting negotiation, drafting agreements on changes and reflecting the change in the System (SAP)

Qualifications:

BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Chemical)

4+ years of experience procurement engineering with structural components

Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred

Experience with internationals sourcing and suppliers for nuclear projects, including ASME NQA-1 or ASME III is preferred

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
