Job Summary

This position is for a nuclear station leader who is responsible for the maintenance department, primarily associated with activities in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls systems.
Vistra nuclear sites include: Comanche Peak (Glen Rose, TX); Beaver Valley (Shippingport, PA), Davis-Besse (Oak Harbor, OH) & Perry (Perry, OH).
*Location will be based at one of Vistra's four nuclear sites*

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide technical and administrative direction in all aspects of maintenance, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
  • Accountable for the activities associated with the Maintenance Support Manager, Maintenance Services Manager, and Maintenance Training Coordinator.
  • Ensure all Maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with approved procedures, instructions, regulatory requirements, and applicable policies and directives.
  • Development and monitoring of Maintenance Department budgets.
  • Maintain the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure Maintenance personnel are trained and supervised.
  • Directing contractors on matters relating to plant maintenance

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

  • Eight years related experience in the nuclear industry or equivalence.
  • Four years of experience at an operational nuclear power plant. During the four years, the individual shall have help positions in maintenance at the supervisory or management level.
  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications applicable to above skills
  • Problem solving expertise and techniques to address issues
  • It is preferred that you possess a Senior Reactor License OR a Senior Reactor License certification OR equivalent Operational knowledge
