Job description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 13-week contract to support their efforts in obtaining a Non-Resident License (NRL) pharmacy permit in Illinois and Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a pharmacist holding an active license in California, Illinois, or Massachusetts who is prepared to serve as PIC in accordance with state regulations.

Locations and Licensure Requirements:

  • California (onsite at California Specialty Pharmacy): Licensed in CA, 30 hours/week
  • Ohio (onsite at ContinuumRX Dublin, OH):
    • Licensed in MA or OH, 30 hours/week
    • Licensed in OH or IL, 8 hours/week

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, bearing full responsibility for pharmacy compliance with state laws.
  • Maintain the pharmacy’s standards and policies as required for NRL application.
  • Oversee pharmaceutical operations in a specialty compounding environment.
  • Ensure proper documentation and regulatory adherence specific to the applicable state.

Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist license in California, Illinois, or Massachusetts; licenses for Ohio considered based on specific shift requirements.
  • Willingness to act as the Pharmacist in Charge with associated regulatory responsibilities.
  • Experience or strong familiarity with specialty compounding pharmacies is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

This position offers a chance to contribute to compliance and regulatory efforts in a dynamic specialty pharmacy setting. The contract duration spans approximately 13 weeks with a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule.
