Job description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to support obtaining NRL pharmacy permits in Illinois and Massachusetts. The role is ideal for pharmacists licensed in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, or Ohio who are willing to serve as the official PIC temporarily.

Location: Columbus, OH (with some opportunities in California)
Job Type: Contract, 13 weeks
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Hours vary by licensing state and site:
    • CA, IL, or MA license: 30 hours/week (California onsite)
    • MA or OH license: 30 hours/week (Ohio onsite)
    • OH or IL license: 8 hours/week (Ohio onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge to meet regulatory requirements for obtaining NRL permits in IL and MA
  • Maintain proper oversight of pharmacy operations consistent with state laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with specialty compounding pharmacy standards
  • Collaborate with pharmacy management to address regulatory and operational needs

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacist license in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, or Ohio
  • Willingness to serve as PIC by “hanging” your license temporarily
  • Experience or interest in specialty compounding pharmacy environments
  • Knowledge of state pharmacy laws and regulatory requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
