Job description

Job description:

Here at Fluid Tech Hydraulics Inc., we are continuously looking for competent, self-driven workers for various positions. Right now, we are specifically looking for Manual Machinists, CNC machinists with competence with manual machines, and general mechanics. We primarily work in repair and fabrication of hydraulics systems but are constantly expanding and handle a large diversity of projects.

Our machinists have access to many machines, and constantly move to different machines depending on the work required. Due to the low volume and high diversity of parts we fabricate, our machinists work from proper fabrication drawing sets to hand sketches or sample parts. This includes jobs that may take more than a week to finish, to ones that could take less than an hour.

Some of the types of machines we have are:

· Horizontal manual and CNC mills

· Vertical manual and CNC mills

· Manual and CNC Lathes

· Blanchard Surface Grinder

Ideal Qualifications:

· Manual Mill experience. Preferably Horizontal Mills.

· Manual Lathe experience.

· Familiarity of Blanchard-style surface grinders.

· Experience with hand measurements tools such as micrometers and calipers.

· Ability to measure and draw components to reproduce major features.

· Ability to read fabrication drawings and execute the necessary operations.

· Ability and desire to learn, from new machines to techniques and tooling.

· Ability to keep concise and accurate timecards and sketches.

· Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment.

Duties

· Fabricate parts from provided drawing or samples.

o To include tooling and workholding selections.

· Operating Horizontal and vertical mills.

· Operating manual lathe for simple operations.

· 8 hour full time with many overtime opportunities.

· More, depending on competency.
