Teamwork and clear communication are essential, as analysts often share findings with intelligence officers and policymakers to ensure accurate and actionable insights.

What are NPICs?

NPIC stands for National Photographic Interpretation Center. It was a United States government agency responsible for analyzing aerial and satellite imagery to provide intelligence for national security. NPIC analysts played a crucial role during events such as the Cuban Missile Crisis by interpreting photos and identifying military installations or other points of interest. In 1996, NPIC was merged into the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), now known as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
