Job description

Job Overview

The Associate Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the HES C&I Sales Organization in creating and managing sales tools, specifically marketing collateral and other resources/literature for sales team, as well as business planning, performance analysis, and market intelligence. The individual will manage identified critical initiatives focused on optimized internal business processes; helping to maintain and grow market position; and drive continuous improvement in Commercial Excellence platforms. This role will report to the HES Harmonization - PMO on the Commercial Excellence team.  This role can be based at a Hubbell location based in Shelton, CT, Manchester, NH, Greenville, SC

A Day In The Life
  • Lead and update the C&I Sales Playbook that includes all relevant brand information; contact information; operating model; and how to interact with the other C&I sales teams
  • Support vertical market and contractor team pilots with data analysis to identify opportunities
  • End market analysis to support overall business objectives
  • Develop and maintain competitive matrix
  • Act as the liaison with Hubbell Enterprise Marketing and the HES business
  • Create micro level trend interactions within regions (i.e. - project wins, NPD feedback, distributor alignment shifts)
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis in development of new potential markets
  • Support strategic planning efforts, quota setting process, and business development opportunities
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, finance, or engineering
  • Minimum of one year of marketing experience
  • Experience utilizing design and/or PDF editing software
  • CRM skills (Salesforce.com preferred) recommended
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to multi-task, manage priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and able to assist with high quality outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with product, sales, research and marketing managers
  • Problem solving: identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Ability to prioritize workload while remaining organized
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Travel as required up to 20%
