Bistro Attendant
Location: Courtyard by Marriott
Hammond, IN 46323
The Bistro Attendant is responsible for delivering an exceptional food and beverage experience to guests while upholding Marriott brand standards. This role includes preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing warm, professional service to every guest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service in the Bistro.
  • Prepare and serve food items, specialty coffee drinks, and other menu offerings according to Marriott recipes and standards.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, process orders, and handle cash/credit transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Bistro, dining area, and all food preparation areas in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Stock and replenish supplies, condiments, utensils, and grab-and-go items as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with opening duties, including setting up equipment, brewing coffee, and preparing food.
  • Provide product knowledge to guests and make menu recommendations when appropriate.
  • Comply with Marriott service standards, uniform guidelines, and appearance policies.
  • Support other hotel departments when needed to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • Prior food service, barista, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
