Job Description:
Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Coffee Shop Barista operates a computerized cash register in order to record all coffee shop items sold, makes drinks, bakes bakery items, general cleaning of a food establishment, orders supplies, and works at a team to update menu items under the guidance of the manager. Closes out cash register and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of food services and customer service standards and practices are normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Service Manager Certification preferred.
  • Previous cashier experience is beneficial with demonstrated ability to run a cash register.
  • Previous barista experience beneficial.
  • Possesses oral and written communication skills that enable the individual to coordinate and perform duties including producing cash and balance reports.
  • Possesses attention to detailed qualities to enter customer charges, receive monies and make changes.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including ability to make customers feel welcome.
