The Corporate Sales Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing an assigned portfolio of business-to-business customer accounts with an annual gift spend of under $10K, with a primary focus on increasing order size, order frequency, and long-term account value.

This role supports the 1-800-Flowers family of food brands, including Harry & David, Cheryl's Cookies, The Popcorn Factory, and others. Accounts are transitioned to the Key Account Manager after being onboarded and managed by Strategic Outside Sales Executives for at least one year. The Key Account Manager's objective is to drive incremental revenue growth, expand use cases, and identify opportunities for referrals and future new business.

The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder with a strong consultative sales mindset, comfortable managing a high-volume book of business while uncovering growth opportunities. This role uses the same systems, tools, and processes as the broader sales team, including Salesforce.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned business accounts with annual spend under $10K.
  • Drive incremental revenue through increased order frequency, expanded use cases, and larger average order value.
  • Maintain regular outbound and inbound communication with assigned accounts via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Execute account growth strategies following handoff from Strategic Outside Sales.
  • Identify opportunities to expand gifting programs across departments, occasions, and seasons.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, delivering a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Identify and refer high-potential accounts or new business opportunities back to Strategic Outside Sales.
  • Build long-term relationships with key contacts within each account.
  • Educate customers on the full portfolio of 1-800-Flowers food brands and solutions.
  • Manage pipeline activity and account notes within Salesforce.
  • Track customer interactions, opportunities, and performance metrics consistently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor account trends, buying patterns, and growth opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed assigned productivity including call/ email goals and revenue goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4+ years of B2B sales or account management experience required.
  • Experience managing and growing existing customer accounts preferred.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue within an assigned book of business.
  • Strong customer relationship and follow-up skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
