Job description

MAJOR JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum which meets the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. Responsible for performing duties in accordance with program policies and procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the teacher. Responsible for supervising the room and activities when the teacher is absent. Must always be pleasant, respectful, courteous to residents, children, families, visitors, and fellow employees.

· Assists with providing activities for children.

· Assists classroom teachers.

· Reports and records child and parent information.

· Attending Childcare meetings.

· Performs miscellaneous duties.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CHILDCARE ASSISTANT TEACHER

· Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience.

· Education or Certifications in Early Childhood, preferred.

· Desire to work with young children ages six weeks to five years old.

WORK SCHEDULE
We are looking to hire a full-time associate from 8:30-5pm (Monday-Friday), and a part-time associate from 1pm-5pm (Monday - Friday).
