Opportunity:

VAR SHIFT 1Y/1ST TIMER - MS/Tele RN - Req 10172

Job Details:

• Variable shift schedule with day/night rotation managed by the scheduling manager to be fair and manageable for travelers
• Weekends required with a minimum of every other weekend
• Block schedules are not required
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4-6 depending on shift and day
• Float required between two hospital locations if census does not support need at primary facility
• Travelers who refuse to float may risk termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
• 48-hour shifts are not approved
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Any color accepted
• Parking: No fee
• Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele experience required
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Chest tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Feeding tube care and management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Pacemakers, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Wound Care/Wound Vac, and Orthopedic patient care
• Common patient diagnoses include: surgical patients, ORIF, wound vac/infections, cellulitis, and BKA
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Valid Washington or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal

Facility:

This is a Critical Access facility with 23 total staff beds and a daily census of approximately 13 patients across 12 rooms. The facility operates as part of a larger health system with a sister facility nearby, between which nurses may be required to float based on census needs. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team and utilizes Epic for electronic charting, providing a well-rounded and collaborative care environment for both staff and patients.
