Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Full-time position working Monday through Friday
• Perform perioperative nursing role including preoperative patient assessments and nursing care plan formulation
• Implement operative care plans and conduct postoperative evaluation of patient response and outcomes
• Evaluate effectiveness and appropriateness of nursing care provided with proper documentation
• Assemble equipment and supplies according to sterile technique for case setup and performance
• Open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies according to sterile technique
• Prepare patients for surgery by positioning patients appropriately and preparing operative sites
• Confirm procedures and sites according to surgeon's history, physical, and operating room team
• Assist with moving patients to and from the operating table
• Perform surgical counts including sponges, sharps, and instruments with documentation on legal records
• Assist in operating room cleanup following surgery including proper disposal of used supplies and sharps
• Active RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of surgical experience required
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
