We are looking for a Tandem COBOL Programmer for a remote full-time permanent role in Eugene, OR.Must be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, or Texas.SALARY:$100K – $135K annuallyRESPONSIBILITIES:Seeking a hands-on Tandem COBOL engineer to assist with the supplier price file ingestion and markup process while leading an automation initiative.Maintain current Tandem COBOL jobs and work to design a modern, scalable markup workflow with strong auditability.Curiosity and tool-builder mindset are essential.REQUIREMENTS:Senior HP TANDEM Nonstop COBOL.Experience in SQL is a plus.Experience developing and supporting online and batch COBOL applications.Experience with C++ and/or Web is a plus.Experience with AI to accelerate code discovery/documentation.Thorough knowledge of programming concepts, software development life cycle, system or data analysis, project management protocols, debugging and testing methods and tools.Experience in identifying system requirements and specifications, and making necessary modifications accordingly.Strong researching and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.Solid organizational and estimating skills, with the ability to complete projects within specific deadlines.Ability to work in a team environment with high productivity.Experience in heavy equipment industry software and business processes are a plus!Please note that only .doc.docx and .pdf file types are allowed.J-18808-Ljbffr
