These locksmiths have typically completed advanced training and certification, allowing them to work on a wide range of locking mechanisms, including residential, commercial, and automotive locks. Unlike union locksmiths, non-union master locksmiths have more flexibility in choosing their jobs and negotiating rates, but may not have union-provided benefits such as collective bargaining or job protections.
