Job description

Civil Superintendent


Job Type: Long-Term Contract Weekly per diem and travel reimbursements available for qualified out-of-state candidates

We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to support a major construction program.

This role requires a proven leader with at least 10 years of direct experience managing union construction crews on large-scale industrial construction projects. Candidates with experience on Department of Defense (DoD) or military installations are highly preferred, but individuals from power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, and other heavy industrial construction environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee daily civil construction activities in the field
Manage union craft labor, foremen, and subcontractors
Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work sequencing
Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
Support project controls, change management, and construction planning efforts
Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project progress
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications and client requirements

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience managing union construction crews
Civil construction supervision experience on large industrial projects
Strong background in heavy industrial construction environments
Ability to lead large craft workforces and multiple subcontractors
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
