Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Wilmington, DE (5 days onsite)
Salary: $105,000 - $120,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects. This role will work closely with senior project managers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative capabilities, a high level of organization, and comfort working within project management systems.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing detailed meeting minutes, and tracking action items
  • Maintain and update project documentation, logs, and spreadsheets
  • Support communication between internal teams, clients, and vendors
  • Monitor project progress and identify risks or issues early
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders
  • Organize and support the development of project presentations and materials
  • Ensure compliance with company processes and project management best practices
  • Support the use and maintenance of project management information systems (PMIS), ensuring data integrity and timely updates

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years of project coordination or assistant project management experience
  • Strong administrative skills, including meeting minutes, documentation, and spreadsheet management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and familiarity with PMIS platforms strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
