Job description

Role: AI Solution Architect
Location: Remote
We are seeking a purpose-driven AI Solution Architect who is passionate about using technology for good. This role is ideal for someone who not only excels in designing AI solutions, but also believes in giving back, empowering nonprofit organizations, and enabling them to scale their mission with the power of AI.
You will architect end-to-end AI solutions, guide nonprofit teams in adopting modern AI capabilities, and help them unlock operational efficiency, donor engagement, and mission impact through intelligent systems. Your work will touch lives, strengthen communities, and create lasting change.
What You’ll Do
AI Strategy & Architecture
  • Develop AI roadmaps and solution architectures tailored for nonprofit use cases (fundraising optimization, volunteer engagement, automation, impact measurement, etc.).
  • Assess organizational readiness and translate nonprofit challenges into AI-driven solutions.
  • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI systems (LLMs, MLOps, data pipelines, automation flows).
Solution Development & Implementation
  • Architect and guide the implementation of AI/ML models, NLP/LLM applications, automation workflows, predictive analytics, and decision-support systems.
  • Oversee data preparation, feature engineering, integration with CRM/ERP/NPSP platforms.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality AI products.
Enablement & Evangelism
  • Partner directly with nonprofit leaders to educate, inspire, and demonstrate the impact of AI.
  • Conduct workshops, discovery sessions, and proof-of-concepts to build stakeholder confidence.
  • Promote ethical, responsible AI practices tailored for mission-driven organizations.
Collaboration & Governance
  • Advise on data governance, security, compliance, and best practices.
  • Work cross-functionally across product, engineering, and program teams to align technical solutions with mission goals.
  • Contribute to organizational thought leadership in AI for social good.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, AI/ML Engineering, or Advanced Data/Cloud Architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise with LLMs, GenAI, NLP, ML platforms, vector databases, and cloud AI services (Azure/OpenAI, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong experience designing integrations, APIs, MLOps, and scalable AI architectures.
  • Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep empathy, customer-centric mindset, and desire to help organizations grow.
  • Experience working with nonprofits (preferred but not required).
  • A mindset of service, humility, and giving—looking to make meaningful impact through technology.
