Front Office Assistant – Volunteer Opportunity

Sheltering Grace Ministry (SGM)

Location: Marietta, Georgia

Position Type: Volunteer (Non-Paid)

Schedule: Part-Time / Flexible Hours

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Overview

Sheltering Grace Ministry (SGM) is seeking a Front Office Assistant Volunteer to support the daily administrative and front desk operations of our faith-based maternity home and supportive housing programs. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy organization, communication, and serving others in a compassionate ministry environment.

The Front Office Assistant Volunteer plays a vital role in ensuring our office runs smoothly while providing a welcoming presence for residents, partners, and community members.

Lunch will be provided on scheduled volunteer days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and maintain a welcoming, professional front office environment
  • Answer and route phone calls, emails, and general inquiries
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and resident check-ins
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scanning, and copying
  • Assist with organizing office supplies, forms, and program materials
  • Help prepare documents, flyers, and packets for residents and events
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and organizational information
  • Support staff with special projects, community outreach, and events as needed
  • Uphold SGM’s policies, procedures, and faith-based values
