Biomedical Engineering Student Office Associate, Work Study - Student Clerical

Job Description:
Job Summary
The academic office of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a student associate with a positive attitude to assist our staff with the everyday needs of the school. Applicants should possess skills in basic computer operations, be customer service focused and detail oriented. In addition, students should have basic skills related to website updates and graphics, use of spreadsheets and data mining.
ALL applicants MUST be current Purdue undergraduate students and eligible for Federal Work Study funding.
Purpose of Job: to provide support to the BME staff.
Essential duties: Front Desk receptionist, greeting guests/students/staff, answer the phone, computer usage and data processing, errands on campus, and light cleaning.
Responsibilities: Pleasant attitude toward all, maintain confidentiality, detail oriented.
Necessary skills: MS Office experience with working knowledge of Word and Excel, Data Mining, Websites, etc. The Ideal candidate should have proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets
Preferred skills: Data entry, analysis, and interpretation, Graphic design experience; knowledge of Canva
The student associate will be asked to perform the essential duties listed above while always maintaining confidentiality.
Additional Information
Student Associate starting wage: $10.00/hour
Students Associates should anticipate working approximately 10-12 hours per week (daytime/shifts)
