JOB TITLE: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
LOCATION: District
SUPERVISOR: Director of Student Services
FLSA Status: Exempt
Union/Non-Union: Non-Union 




Salary Range: $50,000 - $66, 000

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides instruction to students and performs a wide variety of tasks with curriculum planning, supervision, presenting and reinforcing learning concepts, and teaching children in a classroom setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To excel in this role, the individual must meet the following key responsibilities:

  • Serve as team member with special education teachers, staff, and administrators.
  • Attend IEP, eligibility, or other meetings as necessary and provide related behavioral information.
  • Participate in the behavior RtI services as needed.
  • Work with students who exhibit maladaptive/unexpected behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff who work with such students.
  • Conduct and Develop Functional Behavior Assessments.
  • Develop/ update Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with school staff and families
  • Provide professional development to staff and parents.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Communicate with families.
  • Participate in the professional Learning community.
  • Grow and develop professionally.
  • Demonstrate professionalism..
  • Remain available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day, such as parent teacher conferences per contract.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Board-certified behavior analyst as certified by the BACB
    • Requires a master's degree in applied behavior analysis or related field
  • Prefers at least 2 years of experience as a BCBA
  • Requires expert knowledge of intervention practices, data collection methods, behavior change strategies and supports, knowledge of the functional behavior analysis and behavior intervention practices

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional tasks as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: 

  • The role requires frequent sitting, walking, standing, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to various school locations required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Work is performed in an environment where unusual temperature and noise are relatively nonexistent
  • Work is performed in an environment where health hazards may occur
  • Occasional need for work outside the normal hours/days

LICENSES/CREDENTIAL:  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 

  • Extended hours 7:25 3:40
  • Extended contract 5 extra days to be worked directly before/end of the school year
