Job description

Title: Electrical Procurement Lead
Department: Construction Procurement Solutions, part of the STO Building Group family of company 
Location: New York City, NY
Reports To: Director of Strategic Sourcing
Position Overview
As the Electrical Procurement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our supply chain management team. Your main responsibilities will include procurement of Electrical equipment required for our projects. You will be involved in all steps required to procure beforementioned equipment from bidding and leveling to properly assigning it to the installing Trade Partner.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies that align with organizational goals and project requirements.
  • Understand Design Intent behind Basis-of-Design equipment selection and obtain bids from compatible suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their supply chain needs and ensure alignment with overall strategic sourcing objectives.
  • Identify suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, reliability, and compatibility with organizational needs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms for lead times and service.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact the supply chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • As a substitution to educational qualification, we will consider minimum of 5 years of experience in construction. Experience in estimating, product selection and procurement of equipment for construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, with a proven track record of successful supplier management.
  • Knowledge of supply chain risk management practices and strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Salary Range

  • $100,000- $175,000
  • In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
