What is a non executive?

Non Executives, often referred to as Non-Executive Directors (NEDs), are members of a company's board who are not part of the executive management team. Their main role is to provide independent oversight, challenge the decisions of the executive directors, and ensure the interests of shareholders and stakeholders are protected. Non Executives bring external experience and perspectives, contributing to strategy, risk management, and corporate governance. They do not engage in the day-to-day operations of the business but play a critical role in ensuring that the company is run ethically and efficiently.

How do non executive directors typically contribute to strategic decision-making within an organization?

Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) play a crucial role in providing independent oversight and guidance during strategic decision-making processes. While they are not involved in day-to-day operations, NEDs participate in board meetings, offering objective perspectives and challenging executive proposals to ensure balanced and effective governance. They also help mitigate risks by drawing on their diverse experience and industry knowledge, supporting the organization’s long-term success. Collaborating closely with executive directors and other board members, NEDs help set overall direction and monitor organizational performance against strategic goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a non executive director, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Non-Executive Director, you need extensive experience in governance, strategic oversight, and a solid understanding of business operations, typically supported by senior leadership or board-level experience. Familiarity with governance frameworks, financial reporting systems, and sometimes certifications such as the Institute of Directors (IoD) qualification are valuable. Strong soft skills like independent judgment, effective communication, and integrity help build trust and foster constructive boardroom dynamics. These skills ensure the board receives objective advice, maintains accountability, and supports the organization's long-term success.

Lendz Financial is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven mortgage Account Executive to drive broker partnerships and fuel loan volume growth. In this high-impact, front-line role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to mortgage brokers-helping them navigate products and close more loans with speed and confidence.

What gives our AEs the edge? A winning combo of intuitive tech, a responsive ops team, and streamlined workflows that free you up to focus on what matters most: your brokers. We equip you with industry-leading tools like Salesforce CRM, real-time pricing engines, and a scalable, tech-enabled lending platform that actually keeps up with your goals.

Join us and you'll have everything you need to scale your production, grow lasting relationships, and build a long-term home with a company that's as ambitious as you are.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit New Business: Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with brokers to secure loans, ensuring consistent growth in the company's client base.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for brokers, acting as a trusted resource for all questions related to the mortgage industry and Lendz
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding client service by promptly addressing loan status inquiries and resolving any issues during the loan process.
  • Operational Collaboration: Partner with the operations team to facilitate the successful submission, processing, and closing of loans as needed.
  • Client Training & Support: Provide brokers with training and conduct informational meetings.
  • Rate Lock Monitoring: Stay vigilant on expiring rate locks and ensure timely communication with brokers.
  • Represent the Brand: Be a champion of the Lendz experience-delivering consistent, exceptional service that drives loyalty and repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Wholesale AE Experience: 3+ years in a wholesale Account Executive role, with a current book of producing brokers.
  • Non-QM Knowledge: Familiarity with Non-QM products and confidence explaining complex lending scenarios.
  • Strong Track Record: Demonstrated ability to drive volume and hit sales targets consistently.
  • Service-First Mentality: Deep commitment to delivering white-glove service and solving problems with urgency and care.
  • Self-Motivated & Organized: Driven, highly organized, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Communication Excellence: Clear, confident, and persuasive-across phone, email, and presentations.
  • Operational Savvy: Solid grasp of loan origination, underwriting workflows, and industry standards.
  • Tech-Friendly: Comfortable using Salesforce, LOS platforms, and MS Office tools.

Benefits:

  • 100% remote
  • Highly subsidized medical insurance
  • Low-cost dental and vision insurance
  • Voluntary Life, LTD, STD, and Critical Illness Insurance
  • 401(k) program
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Friendly, collaborative work environment
