About the Role:
PROLUX MEDICAL TRANSPORT LLC is looking for a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our growing team in Charlottesville, VA. In this role, you'll play a vital part in helping patients safely reach their medical appointments with dignity and care. If you have a passion for serving others and a commitment to safe driving, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport patients to and from non-emergency medical appointments, dialysis centers, therapy sessions, and other healthcare facilities
  • Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices in the vehicle
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients regarding scheduling and trip updates
  • Follow all traffic laws, HIPAA guidelines, and company safety protocols at all times
  • Provide courteous, patient-centered service to elderly, disabled, and medically vulnerable passengers
Requirements:
  • Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Ability to operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and secure mobility devices safely
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable populations
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to operate GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications to safely and efficiently navigate to pick-up and drop-off locations.
