Description

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Transportation Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey.



Responsibilities:


Pick up clients from home or other living facilities using company provided wheelchair accessible minivan. Provides the assistance required to safely board clients and caregivers.

Transports clients to and from approved pick-up location and destination within the Metropolitan area.

Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations regarding non-emergency transportation.

Operate mobile devices, mobile software system, and operate GPS unit.

Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed.

Communicate transport details with Dispatch.

Pre- and post-vehicle safety and maintenance checks.

Other functions may be assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Possession of patience and care with clients, and their caregivers.

Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.

Must be flexible.





Education and Experience:

Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required.



Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, pull, and position clients frequently.

Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.



Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, MVR screening, and physical.
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record.
  • Safely operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
  • Must be reliable and capable of working independently and remaining calm in case of emergency.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays on rotation.
  • Must be flexible.*
  • Must be able to work a smartphone and required apps.*
  • Must be capable of driving in inclement weather. *
