Position Title - Academic Success Center Support Staff (Non-Faculty)

Department - Frederick Douglass Academic Success Center

Location - Morehouse College - Atlanta, GA

Position Summary - Under supervision of the Center's Director, the Academic Success Center Support Staff will provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks: maintaining the operation of the computer lab/printing services and providing technological support for students, faculty and staff daily. Additionally, the support staff keeps supply inventory, assist with event preparation, offers instructions in usage of equipment and software packages, and monitors student activities throughout the Center.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Must have integrated computer skills and knowledge of computer applicationsKnowledge of information technology, data storage, and backup softwareComfortable with crowds.

Physical Demands

Essential Duties/Responsibilities - Provide administrative and technical support to unit; trouble shoot when necessaryServe as liaison to Information Technology Services (ITS)Monitor facility and equipment Maintain daily attendance utilization records and weekly reportsAssist with event set-up and break-downAssist with the maintenance of the facility's appearanceMaintain exemplary personal deportmentMust display a positive and willing attitude to support the aims of theFDASCAssist with the dissemination of materials to students about campus resources and servicesPromote programming and marketing of servicesProvide supplemental tutoring, when appropriateContribute to customer service and general office duties:Help maintain a master calendarDeliver interoffice mailMust be responsible and able to work independently of close supervisionMust be a self-starter and show initiative in performing job responsibilitiesMust be prompt and a great steward of time managementMust respect the confidentiality of the officeMust understand and be willing to carry out the duties as outlined
