Qualifications Basic

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 2 years of experience years of experience in IT.


Preferred

Experience in Java / J2EE Application Development.

Experience in technologies like - Spring / Struts , Hibernate, Java 1.6, DB2 UDB, Web Service, MQ , JMS, Adobe Flex, PL/SQL

Experience in Application Servers like Websphere

At least 2 years of experience in software development life cycle activities

Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

Experience in Automotive domain

Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in Quality Assurance activities like root cause analysis, trend/pareto analysis etc.

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Tech Lead - Java

Qualifications Basic

At least 4 years of experience in IT.


Preferred Skills :

Java Technology : Java/J2EE, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, XML, AJAX (JQuery, JQGrid), JSP, DB (Oracle/ DB2).

Understand the client and project requirements (both functional and non-functional) and participate efficiently in the Development and Testing phases of the project.

Create program specifications and unit test plans for software programs.

Convert the functionalities into pseudo code/algorithms/test cases.

Develop code as per design specifications.

Document artifacts such as unit test scripts, etc. independently and help in identifying code defects and ensuring that the output is as per the given specifications and SLAs.

Support the creation of the 'Go Live' plan and manage the assigned activities in the plan.

Perform root-cause analysis of any issues that arise post-implementation and work on solutions related to issue fixing.

Create the user documentation using knowledge of business requirements and understanding of the client application.

Perform testing - self and independent (Functional, Integration, System) - as per defined processes and guidelines to ensure accurate program output; identify and resolve defects, if any.

Participate in and prepare content for KT sessions, document the understanding, take on Shadow Support.

Respond to the issues, conduct analysis, identify and evaluate different workarounds/ solution alternatives, implement the most optimal solution, support other team members on issue resolution, manage stakeholder communication and close the issues assigned to ensure support availability as per agreed SLAs.

Document and share learning from the project and leverage knowledge from other projects to drive better re-use and higher effort productivity.

Interface with offshore team and other stakeholders, if any, to undertake onsite-specific activities of the project.

Design Review: Conduct Impact Analysis, create Design Specifications as per the high-level design, and create Unit Test Plans to develop / validate / maintain the application as per the requirements.

Architecture Review: Understand application architecture document and seek inputs from the architecture / design team to understand the overall architecture in order to provide deliverables that are in line with architectural requirements.

Should have good knowledge of design principles and fundamentals of architecture, understanding of performance engineering & Knowledge of quality processes.

Should have good supply chain domain knowledge.
