Non CDL Driver


Position Summary

The Non-CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, materials, equipment, using company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This position ensures compliance with company policies, traffic laws, and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Load, unload, and secure cargo as needed.
  • Organize, pick and ship, sorting of warehouse spaces.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift and pallet jack.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, and inspection records.
  • Plan and follow assigned routes to ensure timely deliveries or transportation services.
  • Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and delivery status.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, incidents, accidents, or delays promptly.
  • Assist with lifting, moving, and handling products or materials when required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Current Med Card
  • Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Ability to safely operate trucks, vans, or other company vehicles not requiring a CDL.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.

Preferred

  • Previous driving, delivery, transportation, or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of local roads and navigation systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and climb in and out of vehicles.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

  • Primarily works outdoors and on the road.
  • May work evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Exposure to traffic, weather conditions, and loading/unloading activities.
