Candidate Requirements

  • Candidates interested in the finish carpenter position must have a smartphone, valid driver's license, and a reliable vehicle
  • Personal set of hand and power tools necessary to perform assigned work. Must be able to transport your tools to and from job sites daily
  • Minimum 5 years residential or commercial carpentry experience is required
    • References required

Basic Job Expectations - Finish Carpenter

  • Understand and follow finish carpentry preparation and installation procedures.
  • Perform high-quality finish carpentry functions-specifically focusing on the installation of crown molding, trim, doors, windows, and custom built-ins-according to production rates with minimal supervision
  • Assess and troubleshoot on-site challenges, including repairing, retrofitting, or replacing existing work as needed
  • Frequent repair and replacement of rotted wood
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization at all job sites
  • Use and move ladders safely
  • Maintain a full set of professional carpentry tools
  • Ability to work with team members and take instruction and feedback

Physical Demand Level (PDL) - Finish Carpenter

Must have the ability to move and use ladders and power equipment (i.e., miter saws, table saws, nail guns, sanders, routers, etc.). This requires a PDL of Heavy; In an 8-hour-day an employee must be able to Lift, Carry, Push, Pull the following:

  • 50-100 lbs Occasional (0-33% of the work day)
  • 20-50 lbs Frequent (34-66% of the work day)
  • 10-20 lbs Constant (67-100% of the work day)
