Our client is looking for an Senior Network Planning & Build Architect for a project and below is the detailed requirement.

Job Title: Senior Network Planning & Build Architect

Location: Bellevue, WA

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA is preferred, with an overall experience of 13–18+ years in the telecommunications industry.
  • 10–15+ years of hands-on experience in network planning, network architecture, deployment, and large-scale network build programs, with expertise in 5G, RAN, Transport, and Core Networks.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end network planning and deployment initiatives, including capacity planning, coverage optimization, fiber expansion, site acquisition, construction, and network rollout.
  • Strong understanding of telecom network architecture, including Radio Access Network (RAN), Core Network, Transport, Backhaul, Fiber, and IP/MPLS technologies.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional programs involving Network Engineering, Operations, Site Acquisition, Construction, Vendors, OEMs, and Managed Service Providers.
  • Hands-on experience defining and tracking KPIs, executive dashboards, governance frameworks, RAG reporting, risk management, and portfolio management.
  • Experience driving network transformation initiatives, including 5G expansion, fiber densification, automation, AI/ML-enabled planning, and digital transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom deployment lifecycle, regulatory compliance, permitting, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor governance.
  • Experience working with leading telecom OEMs such as Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Cisco, or similar vendors is highly preferred.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, leadership, presentation, and client-facing consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale network planning and build initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic growth plans.
  • Develop and execute network planning roadmaps supporting 5G expansion, fiber densification, rural coverage, capacity upgrades, and network modernization.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery across the network deployment lifecycle, including planning, engineering, site acquisition, construction, integration, and production readiness.
  • Collaborate with RAN, Core, Transport, Operations, Finance, Procurement, Regulatory, and Vendor teams to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Define, monitor, and report program KPIs, executive dashboards, portfolio health, deployment milestones, and governance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Drive network investment planning, capacity forecasting, coverage optimization, and cost-efficient deployment strategies using data-driven insights.
  • Lead vendor governance, monitor delivery performance, SLAs, and ensure successful coordination with OEMs, contractors, and managed service partners.
