Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a NOC Operations Manager. Responsibilities include leading NOC teams, overseeing network monitoring and incident response, developing operational procedures and escalation processes, ensuring continuous operational coverage, and driving process improvements across network operations. This is a direct placement role located in Springfield, Virginia. The NOC Operations Manager is expected to have experience in network operations, incident management, team leadership, and operational oversight. This is a great opportunity to support mission-critical network operations and infrastructure

Responsibilities for the NOC Operations Manager:
  • Lead and supervise NOC teams to support monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response activities.
  • Oversee real-time network, system, and application monitoring, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of incidents.
  • Develop and maintain NOC procedures, escalation protocols, and operational processes.
  • Support network upgrades, system enhancements, and security compliance efforts in coordination with internal teams.
  • Mentor NOC personnel and maintain operational reports, incident logs, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications for the NOC Operations Manager:
  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in IT, Networking, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in NOC operations, IT infrastructure, network operations, or network management (preferred).
  • Proven experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management processes.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds, or Dynatrace.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, network security principles, and cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Experience supporting operational efficiency, team leadership, and infrastructure management within a NOC environment.
Compensation for the NOC Operations Manager:
  • Salary range: $160,000 - $190,000 *depending on experience*
