Job Title: Welder Helper
Location: Decatur, AL
Shift: 1st and 2nd
We are looking for dependable Welder Helpers to join our client's team on both 1st and 2nd shifts. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a supportive manufacturing environment. We currently have two openings on first shift and two openings on second shift. This is a temp-to-hire position. Once the temp-to-hire period of 520 hours worked has been completed, the company is looking to fill this position permanently. If offered a permanent position with the company, pay will be re-evaluated for an increase, and comprehensive benefits will be offered.
Candidates do not need to be certified welders but should be attentive, reliable, and ready to learn and contribute to a productive shop setting. The ideal team member is someone who can follow instructions carefully, work well with others, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the workday.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, twist, and work in varying conditions. While no formal education is required, high school shop classes or vocational training are considered helpful.
Responsibilities include assisting welders with fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal structures and equipment, preparing materials and welding tools, cleaning and maintaining work areas, reading blueprints and schematics, operating hand and power tools, and helping assemble metal components as needed. Additional duties may be assigned by the lead welder or supervisor.
We are looking for individuals who can start immediately or as early as tomorrow and who are eager to build skills and grow within a strong team. We value people who show up ready to work, learn, and support their teammates in a safe and respectful shop environment.
If you are dependable, hardworking, and looking for a steady opportunity with room to grow, we would love to hear from you. This position offers consistent hours, hands-on experience, and the chance to be part of a team that takes pride in quality work.
Please be ready to start today or in the morning and bring a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. We look forward to welcoming new team members who are excited about hands-on work in metal fabrication and welding support roles where every day brings new learning opportunities and teamwork matters greatly to our success.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to join our growing production team where hard work, dedication, and reliability are truly appreciated and valued here.
