Overview
Auburn University Libraries is seeking undergraduate applicants for the position of
Student Assistant in the Libraries' Innovation & Research Commons Adobe Creative Space. The Adobe Creative Space is an open-access learning environment located in the RBD Library that supports Auburn students, faculty, and staff in developing digital creation skills through the use of Adobe Creative Cloud and related technologies. Student may work up to 20 hours per week, depending on operational needs.
The Adobe Creative Space operating hours are:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Provide multimedia and graphic design support to Auburn students, faculty, and staff in their use of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, primarily at the Adobe Help Desk in the Adobe Creative Space.
- Assist Auburn students, faculty, and staff with Adobe Creative Cloud through in-person consultations, Zoom appointments, and small-group instruction.
- Assist users with technology available in the Adobe Creative Space, including audiovisual presentation equipment and computing hardware.
- Assist with workshops, instructional sessions, and Adobe-related events.
- Help develop, curate, and maintain instructional content related to the academic use of Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Continue developing proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student at Auburn University.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Basic knowledge of design principles.
- Must provide detailed availability for each day of the week within library operating hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Strong knowledge of design principles.
- Experience providing instruction, tutoring, or customer service.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods as needed.
- Ability to reach, bend, and handle equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to use a computer and other technology for extended periods.
