Job Summary
The OB/GYN Triage RN provides phone-based clinical triage for obstetric and gynecology patients using approved protocols and standing orders. This role requires strong clinical judgment, multitasking, and clear communication to support patient care, education, scheduling, and coordination with providers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct phone triage for OB/GYN patients using physician-approved protocols
  • Assess patient concerns and recommend appropriate care or follow-up
  • Prioritize urgent and emergent calls and voicemail messages
  • Coordinate prescription refill requests per protocol and schedule required exams
  • Educate patients on test results, medical conditions, and treatment plans
  • Schedule acute and routine appointments as needed
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Follow up with patients in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Occasionally assist providers with exams or procedures
  • Support patient tracking, recalls, and monthly pregnancy closures

Qualifications
