Why UNC Radiology?

Our Emergency Radiology Division plays a vital role in the care of patients across North Carolina. Faculty interpret a wide range of emergency imaging studies—including radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy—supporting the rapid diagnosis and treatment of trauma, surgical emergencies, and acute medical conditions.

You'll join a collegial and growing division that values teamwork, professional development, and work-life balance. Faculty enjoy a focused emergency imaging practice with:

  • No procedural responsibilities
  • No requirement to interpret pediatric imaging studies
  • No expectation to interpret MRI studies outside division practice needs
  • Opportunities for evening and overnight scheduling
  • A highly desirable 7-days-on, 14-days-off schedule

Flexible work arrangements, including virtual and hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine’s Working Forward initiative. This position may be eligible for a virtual or hybrid work arrangement, in accordance with UNC policy and subject to approval.
