GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Responsible for administering a wide variety/value of purchase requisitions/orders in a primarily DOD aviation government contracting/procurement environment.DUTIES:Review requisitions/BOM (Bill of Material) and prepare invitations for purchase orders and/or requests for proposal Accountable for quality and timeliness of purchase orders in support of rapid response programsWork directly with suppliers/PMO to mitigate risk or issues and ensure that project schedule is not compromisedResolve issues and expedite material and service orders for all contractsCommunicate with departments such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Program Management to ensure product requirements are metParticipate in and support internal and external purchasing auditsWork with aircraft technical manuals, drawings, and work instructionsMaintain existing supplier relationships and initiate potential new supplier relationshipsAttend internal and supplier meetings as neededOther Duties as assignedEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate discipline desiredVerifiable experience procuring aviation related materials/services is desired, Experience with Deltek CostPoint or equivalent ERP system is desired.Experience purchasing in a DCMA approved purchasing system desiredWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
