LeadOperating Engineer

What this job involves:

Developyour engineering careerat JLL!

The Lead Operating Engineerleads, with minimal supervision, theoperation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical,HVAC,electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.This role may include assisting the Chief Engineer with providing direction to the team.

Schedule:8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday + rotating on-call (1 week on call every 4 weeks)

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to:painting, pressurewashing,maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts,plumbing,HVACsystems,water treatment,locksmith workand general maintenance(as allowed by licensing requirements)

  • Assist in supervising and implementingthe preventative maintenance program

  • Maintainwork order system(CMMS)daily and complete any tenant service requests

  • Assist in providing training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of Engineering team

  • Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)

  • Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDCand pneumatic controls

  • Comply with all safety procedures

  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

  • Other projects and tasks to beassigned

Required qualifications:

  • 3-5years of related work experience, especially inrepair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry

  • Trade schooleducation, union training, military service or college isdesirable

  • Universal CFC EPA certificationor interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)

  • Low Pressure Boiler Operator licenserequired

  • 3rd Class Refrigeration Licenserequired.

  • Leadership/supervisory experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall

  • Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive

  • Strong customer service skills
