These roles typically involve tasks like mowing lawns, planting flowers, trimming bushes, and general yard maintenance under the supervision of more experienced workers. Employers often provide on-the-job training to help new hires learn basic landscaping skills and safety procedures. These jobs are a good starting point for individuals interested in a career in landscaping or outdoor work. Advancement opportunities may be available with experience and additional training.

What types of tasks can I expect to handle as an entry-level landscape worker with no prior experience?

As an entry-level landscape worker with no prior experience, you will typically assist with basic tasks such as mowing lawns, planting flowers or shrubs, raking leaves, watering plants, and helping to set up garden beds. You may also be asked to help with weeding, spreading mulch, and cleaning up debris. Most employers provide on-the-job training and expect you to work as part of a team, following instructions from more experienced landscapers or supervisors.
