Shift:ย 3x12 Days

Position Summary:

The Correctional RN provides professional nursing care to incarcerated individuals within a correctional healthcare setting. This role ensures the delivery of safe, ethical, and effective care while maintaining security protocols. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for acute and chronic conditions, emergencies, and routine health needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care:
    • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
    • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
    • Respond to medical emergencies and provide triage for urgent cases.
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Monitor and manage chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension).
    • Conduct health screenings and assist with intake evaluations.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Adhere to correctional facility security procedures and maintain a safe environment.
