Pawnee Mental Health Services is a nonprofit Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) serving individuals and families across 10 counties in North-Central Kansas. Our mission is to support underserved communities by providing compassionate, community-based behavioral health care.

Pawnee Mental Health Services is currently seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) who is looking for meaningful work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

This Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) position has transitioned from our Junction City office and is now based out of our Claflin Office in Manhattan, Kansas, with one day per week working in our Wamego office.

Why This Role Matters

The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) plays a key role in supporting clients through medication management, health education, and coordination of care. The RN works closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure each client receives safe, effective, and respectful treatment.

This role allows a Registered Nurse (RN) to use clinical nursing skills in a collaborative behavioral health setting without the demands of overnight, weekend, or hospital shifts.

Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Administer medications and monitor client responses
  • Conduct health assessments and accurately document findings
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate clients and families about medications, treatment plans, and wellness practices
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in treatment planning and client progress reviews
Schedule and Work-Life Balance
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • No weekends or overnight shifts
  • Consistent daytime schedule
Work Location
  • Primary Office: Claflin Office – Manhattan, Kansas
  • Secondary Office: Wamego, Kansas (one day per week)

Required
