NMEC stands for National Mission for Education through ICT, which is an initiative by the Indian government to leverage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for improving the quality of education. The NMEC project aims to provide access to high-quality educational content and resources to students, teachers, and institutions across India, especially in remote and underserved areas. Through the development of e-content, virtual labs, and digital libraries, NMEC seeks to bridge the digital divide and enhance learning opportunities. The mission also promotes training and capacity building for educators in using ICT tools effectively.
