Mount Carmel Guild Behavioral Health System, a CARF accredited division of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, is a leading provider of mental health and addiction services in Northern New Jersey.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Substance Abuse Counselor for our Mount Carmel Guild Substance Use program in Cranford, NJ.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide substance use counseling to clients in the substance use program level 1 and level 2.1, provide individual, group and family counseling sessions, carries a caseload of clients ,complete prior authorizations, document progress notes in electronic health record. Implement evidenced based modalities to assist clients in their recovery. Complete treatment plans, and other documentation according to agency standards,. Admit clients using NJSAMS. Collecting weekly UDS. Make referrals to detox, inpatient, mental health or supportive services Supervise interns

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 

Masters Degree in Counseling, social work, or psychology.
LCADC or CADC required.
LAC,LPC, LSW or LCSW preferred.
Experience completing prior authorizations and using NJSAMS.
Knowledge of IOP level of treatment
