Job description

Job Title: Pharmacy Resident

Location: Saint Barnabas Behavioral

Pay Range: $64,959.08 - $64,959.08 per year

The above reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Resident carries out all the responsibilities of the clinical pharmacist if there is limited staffing. The Registered Staff Pharmacist performs all duties concerning the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with State and federal regulations and the established policies and procedures of the department. The resident's term at Behavioral Health is 1 year beginning in July 2026.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Minimum 1 yr of hospital pharmacy experience
  • Completed a PGY-1 residency or comparable experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Currently Registered as a Pharmacist with the NJ Board of Pharmacy

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 8:30am – 5:00pm  
  • Monday-Friday
  • Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  • Attend NJSHP, ASHP, and ACCP
  • The resident will facilitate Medication Groups
  • All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competency in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration
  • All Registered staff pharmacists will demonstrate the Behavioral Health Center's philosophy of Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers
