Job description

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Senior Director of Global Energy Marketing who will define how Nike shows up at the intersection of sport, culture, creativity, and community. This leader will shape the global Energy marketing strategy across fashion, streetwear, art, design, and emerging cultural movements, driving the collaborations, stories, and experiences that create brand heat and move culture forward.
You are a big-picture thinker with a sharp creative instinct. You see cultural shifts before they hit the mainstream. You understand how to translate those signals into breakthrough brand moments that feel unmistakably Nike. You thrive in cross-functional environments, inspire teams, and bring clarity to fast-moving, ambiguous spaces.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Your day-to-day will flex between strategy, creative direction, cross-functional leadership, and team development. You'll be responsible for:
  • Setting the global Energy marketing vision and long-range strategy, defining how Nike shows up across fashion, streetwear, art, design, and cultural communities.
  • Leading integrated brand, product, and marketplace storytelling, ensuring Energy narratives are cohesive, elevated, and globally resonant.
  • Driving cultural relevance by identifying emerging trends, creative communities, and cultural moments where Nike can authentically lead.
  • Owning the strategy and creative direction for Energy collaborations, positioning, storytelling, and launch strategy.
  • Leading global campaign development, seasonal storytelling, and brand activations, ensuring Energy work delivers cultural impact and business results.
  • Partnering with Creative, Product, Merchandising, Sports Marketing, Communications, Entertainment, and Marketplace to bring Energy concepts to life across the enterprise.
  • Developing and mentoring a high-performing global team of Energy marketers, fostering creativity, courage, and excellence.
  • Managing investment, prioritization, and measurement, ensuring Energy initiatives drive brand heat, cultural resonance, and commercial impact.
  • Providing cultural and creative insight to inform brand plans, product narratives, and strategic decision-making across Nike.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will be part of the Global Energy Marketing function, reporting directly to the VP of Global Energy Marketing and will also sit on the Nike Brand Management leadership team. You'll collaborate closely with:
  • Global Brand Management
  • Creative Studio
  • Product & Merchandising
  • Sports Marketing
  • Communications
  • Entertainment & Culture
  • Marketplace & City Teams

You'll also engage with external partners, designers, artists, and cultural innovators who help shape Nike's presence in culture.
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE
  • 12+ years of experience in brand marketing, cultural marketing, or brand management, including senior leadership roles.
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education or experience. Will accept any suitable combination or education, experience and training.
  • Proven ability to lead iconic, culturally driven brand moments, collaborations, or franchises.
  • Deep passion for and understanding of fashion, design, streetwear, art, entertainment, and youth culture.
  • Strong creative instincts paired with strategic and commercial rigor.
  • Experience working with creative partners, designers, artists, or cultural collaborators.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams.
  • Strong cross-functional influence skills and the ability to drive alignment across complex organizations.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and investment strategies.
  • A track record of turning cultural insight into breakthrough marketing work.
