Job description

Footwear Material Sourcing Lead - NIKE, Inc.- Beaverton, OR. Partner closely with product engineering and chemical engineering teams to develop and refine strategy and ensure alignment across the Nike organization. Serve as the relationship manager for key chemical suppliers to message Nike's source strategy decisions and maintain strategic relationships. Partner closely with Material Transformation leaders to drive chemical success on buy/sell programs and think strategically about implementing these programs. Build on existing sourcing strategies and stand-up new sourcing strategies for footwear chemical materials. Research and assess suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness to enhance supply chain. Communicate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to improve footwear production. Stay informed about market trends and price fluctuations. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure the materials meet the standards. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and trade regulations. Maintain strong relationships with partners, addressing any sourcing issues. Work closely with stakeholders in footwear production and development. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Must have a Master's degree in Science in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a material- related occupation.
