The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is looking for an experience guest service professional with a flair for hospitality to join our team as a Night Auditor.  Please note that this position works the overnight shift from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa/Short Pump is a flagship property of Shamin Hotels, Central Virginia's largest hotel management company. We have tripled in size to 78 full- and select-service hotels over the past ten years and own and operate hotels under the Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, InterContinental and Choice flags.

Night auditors perform end-of-day accounting tasks and overnight front desk duties. They assist late-night guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and address other customer requests. They also audit, reconcile, and balance daily financial activities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs all audit procedures as set forth by the Hotel and company, on a daily basis.
  • Performs and attributes all required audit reports.
  • Balances all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift.
  • Prepares the front office for the ‘A’ shift and resets the day's business.
  • Answers the switchboard, completes room reservations and works with housekeeping and maintenance to fulfils guest requests.
  • Enters banquet and other charges and communicates with banquet, sales and accounting departments. 
  • Acts as a manager on duty when necessary.
  • Participates in front office meetings and trainings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience is required and an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of hotel front desk or night auditor experience is required.
  • Hilton experience and experience with the PEP property management system is highly desirable. 
  • Must be guest service oriented and have an interest in hospitality.
  • Must have excellent communications skills and familiarity with MS Office applications and comfort with using other internet based platforms. 
  • Understanding of accounting and reporting functions as well as financial management skills is required.
