The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides on-site occupational health support during overnight manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for assessing and triaging work-related injuries and illnesses, delivering first aid, responding to medical emergencies, and coordinating follow-up care. The LPN works independently on night shift while partnering with day-shift RNs to ensure continuity of care and compliance with occupational health standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate care for work-related injuries and illnesses, including triage, first aid, and referral when appropriate

  • Respond promptly to on-site medical emergencies

  • Document all incidents, assessments, and treatmentsin accordance withcompany protocol and regulatory requirements

  • Communicate injury handoffs and follow-up needs to day-shift RNs

  • Perform health screenings (e.g., blood pressure checks, glucose monitoring)

  • Support workers' compensation processes and return-to-work coordination

  • Assistwith case management activities under RN supervision

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and occupational health standards

  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment across manufacturing operations

Qualifications

  • Active LPN license in the State of Ohio or multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in occupational health or related setting

  • License in good standing

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred

  • Familiarity with workers' compensation and return-to-work protocols

  • Current CPR/BLS/AED certification

  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Respirator fit testing certification

  • CAOHC certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Case management experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during 12-hour shifts

  • Ability to lift orassistup to 25 pounds

  • Frequent use of hands for clinical tasks and documentation

  • Ability to wear required PPE in manufacturing areas
