Registered Nurse (RN)

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is currently offering a sign on bonus for full-time night shift registered nurses who will be joining our team of dedicated professionals. The Carolina Center is a 156-bed private behavioral health system located on 13 acres in the Greenville, South Carolina Area. Specializing in psychiatric programs and substance abuse treatments such as detox and rehab, The Carolina Center serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and areas throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. Programs are available at various levels of care to accommodate the severity of every patient's condition: inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment.

To provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.

  • Administers patient medications prescribed by physician.
  • Completes nursing assessment, updates treatment care plans, and participate in treatment planning
  • Helps maintain the therapeutic milieu on the unit, including, but not limited to, facilitation of community meetings.
  • Maintains patient, program, department and related documentation.
  • Effectively manages psychiatric crisis emergency situations.

Education: ADN or BSN in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing required. South Carolina registered nurse license with current registration required. Multi-state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.

Experience: Zero- one (0-1) year of experience required. Two (2) years of related experience preferred. Experience with psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Work Hours: Night shift: 7:00pm-7:30am. All shifts include every other weekend. May be asked to work overtime and flexible hours.
